1. Maintenance of Payment Information — In order to place a bid or list an item, you must have valid payment information stored in your profile. By providing your credit/debit card information to Caring Transitions, you irrevocably authorize Caring Transitions to charge your primary card on file for the total purchase amount of any winning bid plus any fees associated with the sale of the item, including but not limited to taxes, shipping and handling fees. You also agree and acknowledge that you will maintain valid payment information within your user profile so long as you maintain an account with Caring Transitions and that you are authorized to use the designated payment method. Caring Transitions reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to cancel listings or bids or suspend bidding privileges of any user not maintaining valid payment information. If your payment method fails or your account is past due, we may retain collection agencies and legal counsel. In addition, you may be subject to late fees and interest in Caring Transitions discretion which will not exceed the maximum amount permitted by applicable law.
If your payment method fails, and we are not able to successfully rerun for payment by noon the day prior to pick up, your items will be forfeited & resold to the next highest bidder. Additionally, your bidding privileges may be revoked
2. Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you bid, you MUST be available, or arrange for, the pickup of your purchases on the scheduled pickup date and time, unless you have made prior shipping arrangements. If you are the winning bidder, you are committed to purchasing and picking up your item(s) or making shipping arrangements. Please do not bid if you do not plan to purchase. IF YOU ARE NOT CHOSING SHIPPING AND ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO PICK UP YOUR ITEMS ON PICK UP DAY AND TIME, PLEASE DO NOT BID.
3. Bring necessary tools and help for picking up large items. Loading assistance is NOT available. Some items may be located on a 2nd floor, basement or out-building.
4. Receipts are emailed to winning Bidders once the sale has completely closed and payment is secured. All invoices under five thousand dollars ($5,000) will be auto charged to the primary card on file in your user profile for the total amount. Purchases over five thousand dollars ($5,000) will require an auto charge of 10% of whatever the invoice total is. Remaining payment for those invoices must be handled between you and Caring Transitions ECW; invoice must be paid in full before receiving a receipt for items won. If delivery or shipping is offered, then you must select your desired item receipt method during the bidding process. A shipping or delivery invoice will be created and must be paid before receiving items. If you do not pick the item(s) up during the scheduled pickup time outlined on the CT location Terms and Conditions or your Receipt, Caring Transitions reserves the right to charge your payment method on file for the greater of the total purchase price of the item plus any applicable handling and shipping charges or a $20.00 restocking fee and may ship the item to your address of record. You hereby expressly grant Caring Transitions the right to hold a winning item until confirmation of cleared funds has been received by Caring Transitions. Winning bidders with questions on payment should reference the Knowledge Base or contact CT ECW.
5. If your payment fails, and we are not able to rerun for payment by noon the day prior to pick up, your items will be forfeited & resold to the next highest bidder. Additionally, your bidding privileges may be revoked.
6. Shipping is available for SOME ITEMS at the Buyer's expense AS INDICATED ON EACH INDIVIDUAL LISTING. A handling charges will be added to your sales invoice. After your item(s) are paid for, you will receive a separate invoice for shipping and handling charges. Handling charges start at $10 for the first lot and $2.50 for any additional lots shipped for the same auction, in the same box. Larger, more fragile, multiple boxes required, or time-consuming items to package will be charged an additional $50.00 per hour billed in 15-minute increments.
Shipping invoice must be paid within 7 days of receipt or items will be considered abandoned and will become the property of Caring Transitions East Central Wisconsin - no refunds will be given. Additionally a $20 restocking fee will be invoiced to you and you may lose bidding privileges. Due to rapidly changing shipping costs, shipping invoices not paid immediately upon receipt are subject to cancellation and reissue to reflect updated shipping fees from carriers. Caring Transitions of East Central Wisconsin assumes no liability for shipping damage, any claims for damage must be initiated by the receiver of the package(s).
7. Not all Lots can be shipped. IF A LOT INDICATES PICK UP ONLY IT CANNOT BE SHIPPED. ***BY SELECTING SHIPPING AS YOUR ITEM RECEIPT METHOD YOU AGREE TO RECEIVE SMS MESSAGES TO REMIND YOU OF UPCOMING AND PAST DUE DATES.
8. All items must be paid for before they are picked up or shipped. Items cannot be removed from the Estate without Payment. Therefore, if Total Payment is not received before the Local Pickup date & time, the items will be forfeited, and bidding privileges may be revoked, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.
9. The exact address of the scheduled pickup will be included in your invoice after the auction closes.
11. All items not picked up during the scheduled pickup time will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold. No refunds will be given and a $20 disposal fee will be charged to your account. In addition, bidding privileges can be revoked.
12. A 18% Buyer's Premium will be added to the final bid amount when invoiced.
13. We have made every effort to describe Lot items as accurately as possible. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw. All items are sold AS IS and where is. No refunds or returns to Caring Transitions but some items may be available for the Make It Returnable Program though a third-party insurer. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic or mechanical device. Dimensions given may be approximate.
14. Listings times have a soft close. Extra time may be added to ending times to allow bidders more time to win. This will give you time to receive an outbid notification and place a higher bid and mimics what happens in a live auction where the auctioneer asks for any last bids before making the sale.
