Up for sale from a private estate liquidation is a stunning, authentic Herend Hungary fine porcelain Large Oval Soup Tureen with Lid in the iconic Queen Victoria (VBO) pattern. First introduced in 1851 at the Great Exhibition in London and purchased by Queen Victoria herself, this remains Herend’s most celebrated and prestigious hand-painted design.This is the highly desirable Model 1003, which is the large 4-quart centerpiece size. It features vibrant hand-painted Chinese-style peonies, blooming flora, and butterflies, accented by sculpted green branch handles adorned with delicate 3D-applied porcelain roses.
